2024-38Effective Date Certain
This act amends Section 32-7-35, Code of Alabama 1975, to: (1) establish the Alabama Automobile Insurance Plan to equitably apportion the cost of certain high risk motor vehicle liability policies; (2) require the plan to be approved by the Commissioner of Insurance; (3) require all insurance companies authorized to issue motor vehicle liability policies in the state to subscribe to the plan; (4) authorize service providers to issue motor vehicle liability policies in the name of the plan; and (5) require an audited financial report to be filed annually with the commissioner.
