Alabama Legislative Internships
Work with State Leaders.
Learn the Legislative Process.
Be Part of the Legislative Session.
We are now accepting applications through October 3, 2025
The Alabama Legislative Internship Program was established to involve college students in the state legislature by allowing them to observe and participate in the legislative process of state government.
The internship coincides with the 2026 Regular Session of the Legislature. Interns report to the State House in Montgomery a few days prior to the start of the session and work 32 hours per week until the end of the session. Most Alabama colleges and universities will approve college credit for this internship if coordinated in advance. The dates for the 2026 internship are January 6 - April 27, 2026.
